Abstract: A non-invertible quadratic map has a richdynamical behavior within a certain parameter range.Various periodic solutions, quasi-periodic and chaoticattractors via local bifurcations. In this map, severalspecial values of parameters give codimensiontwo bifurcations, such as double negative-unity (duplicatedflip bifurcation), and tangent-tangent bifurcations.We specify some of them with bifurcation diagramsobtained by applying both the shooting methodand the brute-force analysis.
